Objective 10: From free energy to reaction equilibrium
Before you begin
Your goal: Separate a reaction’s standard-state free-energy change from its composition-dependent driving force, and use ideal-solution activities to connect that driving force with the equilibrium constant.
Build from Gibbs free energy to activities, the reaction quotient, and ΔrG° = −RT ln K. This completes the ten-objective sequence.
- Read each question and write your answer and reasoning on paper or in your own notes.
- Keep your original answer intact. Do not erase or overwrite it.
- Switch on “Reveal answer,” then separately record what you got right, what you got wrong, and what you left out.
- Rewrite your answer underneath the original, staying as faithful as possible to your own wording while making the necessary corrections and additions.
- Finish your reflection and rewrite, then select “Next question.” Earlier questions collapse and can be reopened. The “Compare, then revise” reminder is available inside each answer. The Key connections sidebar grows as you reveal answers.
This page does not collect your answers or save your progress. Write everything separately.
Estimated: 1 hr 10 min–1 hr 40 min
Suggested block: 1 hr 40 min
About this estimate
Plan for 70–100 minutes. This includes working through all 15 questions, writing your answers separately, comparing and revising them, and completing the independent equilibrium-constant practice. The estimate assumes brief responses without outside research. This is a planning estimate; your pace may vary.
Your answers stay in your own notes. This page does not collect responses or save progress. Reloading starts the lesson again.
